News from the Language Room

This term in Italian, our topic was ‘Italian Culture and Traditions’.  The children studied Carnevale in Italy and the history, culture and traditions associated with this important festival in Italy. 

The children researched Carnevale and among their research were; the origins of Carnevale, how the date is set each year, why people wear masks and dress up, how it is celebrated and what are some traditional Carnevale foods. The children presented their work in a Google Doc, Poster or in Google Slides. 

Pictured above is the work of Gerardine from the Senior Learning Community.  She presented her work as a slide show and did an excellent job.  Well done to all students in the Senior Learning Community.
