This term has seen students across all year levels explore art in a different way due to remote learning. I feel that we have embraced the challenge successfully and students have explored some materials and techniques that they may not have been able to before.

Prep and Year 1 students have used their art packs to create creatures and birds out of icy-pole sticks, feathers, googly eyes and pom poms.

MLC and SLC students have loved undertaking the pictures in their etching kits and commented that the process of scratching off the black coating to be quite relaxing.

Students across all year levels engaged in the process of making dream catchers using paper plates, pipe cleaners, beads, wool and string. I believe that there has even been some success with the dreamcatchers keeping the bad dreams away!

To coincide with Signora Michieli teaching the students about Carnevale, all year levels were able to decorate a Carnevale mask and we saw some absolutely stunning creations.

For Father’s Day, the keyrings were a big hit, despite them being a little tricky to open. The children loved drawing either their Dad or special adult in their favourite clothes or Dad or special adult on one side and themselves on the other.
