From the Principal

Dear Parents,

A couple of weeks ago, one of my best mates, who is a principal at a Lutheran school in Melbourne, said he was looking forward to having no students at school by the end of that week. It brought a tear to my eye as he told me the reasons were to protect the staff’s health. It’s hard to imagine ever having to hope for a school with no students. While he’s sick of the online learning and desperately wanting students back in, he knows that, at the moment, this just can’t happen.

As I reflect on the last 6 or so weeks of the term, it has been amazing to see how we pretty much have gone back to normal school life. Being able to worship again on Fridays and run assemblies on Mondays, have been things we love but have missed. Having a muffin last week for MOT was also great, along with attending camps the week before.

Over the coming weeks, we look forward to so many exciting things on the calendar. Tonight, our year 3/4 classes share their learning through the Celebration of Learning evening. On Monday, our Girlpower workshops will take place to support girls to build and maintain positive friendships.

Basketball clinics for some classes through sporting schools, SAPSASA netball and sports day are all activities that we also look forward to over the remaining weeks of the term.

We certainly thank God for how lucky we have been here in SA and pray that this will also become the norm in other states too. We are thankful for the community that continues to celebrate our students, their learning, and who they are as children of God.

Blessings to you,
