Performing Arts & Music at BPPS

WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back in Term 4! It has been lovely seeing everyone in person throughout the week!

Due to restrictions enforced by the Department of Education and Training, we are unable to sing at this time which sadly means no choirs for the remainder of the year. Other ensembles are also not running at this time but individual instrumental lessons can continue, with the exception of woodwind instruments.

The restrictions on 'blowing' instruments also means that our Grade 3/4 students will not be able to play recorders during Term 4.  We are instead continuing with African Drumming, with the sanitiser being applied before and after use.

In the Performing Arts Classroom...

Foundation - Safe Dance Practice and 'Tiddalick the Frog'

Grade 1/2 - Designing a Product and Starting a Jingle

Grade 3/4 - African Drumming: Recapping 'Apples in a Bag' and 'I Like Chocolate Cake'

Grade 5/6 - Collaborating on a Decade Dance in a team

Virtual Carols

This year's carols will be held virtually and more information on this will be provided to families in the coming weeks.
