The PFA Cafe will be open again this coming (Wednesday 16 September) from 7:30pm.
The cafe is an opportunity for parents and friends of Nossal to come together for a social conversation. As the lockdown continues and we crave the freedom to move out of our homes, the theme for this week is "my favourite holiday memory or destination" or "the holiday I would like to have". Attendees are encouraged to share a few photos in the cafe which will be held via Zoom.
The cafe is open to anyone to attend, just bring along your own cake and a cuppa. If you would to join the other 'patrons' at the cafe, please email Keith.Butler@nossalhs.vic.edu.au and we will send you the access code.
We look forward to sharing your holiday memories which might inspire others of places to visit.
Orders are closing early next term for the 2020 Commemorative Pavers.
The PFA have been running this fundraiser for the school for a number of years now and are keen to see the tradition continue. More than just a way to raise money for the purchase of items for the school community, the pavers recognise the importance of establishing a lasting connection/record of connection with the school. The school's "Walk of Fame" includes students, staff and parents.
The challenge for the PFA is to help students see the benefit or value in "purchasing a brick". The group is aware of how reluctant students are to pay for things like this form of memorabilia however equally, from experience, it is one of those things if done "now", in the future people come to enjoy and value. This was evident last year at the 10th anniversary celebrations. Past students visiting the school, went straight to the paved area and looked for their brick and those of others that they remembered. We are sure at the time they graduated, they too would have been a little reluctant to purchase a brick, but their family did and so then when they returned after years away, they were both pleased and proud to see their name recorded in this area.
So here is your opportunity to be long remembered as a part of our school's history. Orders for bricks will be closing early in Term 4 and therefore need to be placed now. Click on the link below to download your order form.
Following discussions with the student leaders, an option to include "Class of Iso" is being offered to this year's Year 12 students as an optional extra at no additional cost. The PFA understands there will be some who do not want this included on the paver, while others have welcomed the opportunity.
If you already have submitted your order for the current paver delivery and would like the additional inscription added to your order, please send a message to Mr Butler either via Teams or email and we will update your order.
