Student Leadership and Mentoring Programs

VICSEG Leadership and Mentoring Program

Eight MSC students recently participated in a Refugee Student Engagement and Support Program run by VICSEG New Futures.  The program engages young people within the Western suburbs to achieve their full potential at school by reaching set goals individually and as a group with the assistance of mentors.  In addition to mentoring the program provides a scholarship and equips them with employment and social skills to complete successful pathways. The program has been a big success with our students!

Western Bulldogs Community Foundation (WBCF)

WBCF GOAL Mentoring is a dynamic mentoring program aimed at new and emerging communities including young Africans living in Melbourne’s West who are aged 13-15 years old. The program aims to create social capital in connecting young people with successful AFL/AFLW players, mentors, and community leaders within the broader western Melbourne community. This year the program is online and has commenced with 14 MSC students. The program will be delivered for two weeks, then leads into a 10 week community-based youth engagement initiative by the WBCF.
