Junior School Principal's Update

Congratulations Junior School students for your fantastic work this term. It has been the second term dominated by remote learning. I am incredibly proud of each of you and your families for your efforts. Our Year 7/8/9 assembly videos have been released on the Compass Newsfeed each fortnight. Here are some reflections that have stood out from the term below.

Congratulations on another term of remote learning. Remember to celebrate and show gratitude for the people that have helped you get there. Friday will be a special celebratory day in STARR Connect for students as we cap off another term of learning together. I would like to extend a special thank you to parents and carers for the support, communication and resilience they have shown while supporting your children through the term.

It was great to see so many students and teachers participating in R U OK day. Struggling is normal, support is available – especially in this COVID19 period. This has been a tough time for many students and families. You can contact your STARR Connect teacher or our wellbeing team for support  wellbeingmelton@meltonsc.vic.edu.au The Department of Education has also provided schools with lots of extra resources. Touch base with our wellbeing team for more info.

Congratulations to 9C for their fantastic efforts leading the STARR awards for the Junior School. The following Year 9 students have been recognised by their teachers in recognition of extra hard work across the term. Congratulations to Pavarisa J, Phoenix L, Angus T, Eisay A, Seini K, Lontina, Cerys, Tenaleah M, Richard M, Duol N, Fady R, Christina T, Tobi V, Clare Y, Irish K, Jack I, Teodora B, Fanuele T, Cam S, Brae D.
