SENIOR GIRLS

In this final edition of the newsletter for Term 3, the Year 12  Girls would like to share their profile and aspirations for the next five years:

 

Lily Burge - Boarding Co- Captain

West Wyalong

Began at Mount Erin in  Year 8.

In 5 years time I  will be just finished my uni degree and want to travel the world living the best life.

 

 

 

Lucinda Collins

Temora

Began at Mount Erin in Year 11.

In 5 years time I would like to be married to Harry Styles.

 

 

 

 

Montana Dean

Tumut

Began at Mount Erin in Year 11.

In 5 years time I would like to have completed my business degree, have moved to somewhere on the beach living my best life and managing a business.

 

 

Mackensie Dodwell

Narrandera

Began at Mount Erin in Year 8.

In 5 years time I would like to be able to open a coffee shop.

 

 

 

 

Josie Gaynor

Began  at Mount Erin in Year 11.

In 5 years time I will still be wondering what to do.

In 5 years time I will be 22.

 

 

 

 

Chloe Keeley

Began at Mount Erin in Year 7.

In 5 years time I would like to be travelling the world surfing and taking photos.

 

 

 

Anika Koller

Began  at Mount Erin in Year 10.

In 5 years time I will be still studying Criminal Psychology at university and hopefully doing work experience at a correctional centre.

 

 

 

Remy McDougall

Began at Mount Erin in Year 11.

In 5 years time I would like to have enough money to live overseas.

 

 

 

 

Dana Moore

Deniliquin

Began  at Mount Erin in Year 10.

 

 

 

 

 

Kasey Mullins

West Wyalong

Began at Mount Erin in Year 11.

In 5 years time I would like to hopefully have finished my Social Work university degree and live in Coffs Harbour.

 

 

 

Charlotte Williams

Tumut

Began at Mount Erin in Year 10.

In 5 years time I would like to hopefully be working as a midwife.

 

 

 

 

We would like to wish the girls all the best for the HSC and the future.

SENIOR BOYS

With Term 3 coming to an end, it is worth reflecting on the first full term this year in boarding at Mount Erin where the Senior Boys have continued to take the COVID-19 restrictions in their stride, to build a stronger sense of community and to find ways to enjoy their time in boarding.

Congratulations to Nick Madden and Joe Morton on winning a premiership in the AFL Riverina Championship with their Osborne Under 17.5 team. They won their Grand Final against Leeton Whitton on Saturday by 59 to 42.

As the Year 12 boys complete their final school classes this week to prepare for the upcoming HSC exams, it is appropriate to pay tribute to a group of young men who have endured the challenging circumstances through this year with an impressive level of resilience and an incredible sense of humour. Thank you to all of the boys for their many positive contributions and to the boarding community.  

 

In this final edition of the newsletter for Term 3, I would like to share the profile of each of the Year 12  Boys and their aspirations for the future:

 

Cooper Backhaus

He is from Hanwood and arrived at Mt Erin Boarding at the start of Year 7.

After school, Cooper plans to work in Canberra and complete a diploma until he is old enough to join the NSW Police Force.

Cooper is a quiet achiever and genuinely considerate and dependable young man.

 

Josh Barr

He is from Gilmore and arrived at Mt Erin Boarding in Year 11.

After school, Josh intends having a GAP year in 2021 to see Australia before hoping to pursue a Music career.

Josh is a talented musician, prankster and caring individual.

 

 

 

Owen Battye

He is from Cootamundra and arrived at Mt Erin Boarding in Year 11.

After school, Owen is seeking a chef apprenticeship for 2021.

Owen can be a scary man (especially when woken), but has a heart of gold.

 

 

 

Liam Bourne

He is from Muttama and arrived at Mt Erin Boarding in Year 11.

After school, Liam is seeking a carpentry apprenticeship for 2021.

Liam is a gym junkie, gamer and legitimate nice guy.

 

 

 

 

Louis Lievens

He is from Gundagai and arrived at Mount Erin Boarding half-way through Year 7.

After school Louis wants to have a GAP Year in 2021, before studying a Bachelor of Advanced Mathematics in Wollongong the following year.

Louis is an academic high achiever who can find the funny side of any situation.

 

Chirag Lamba

He is from Tumut and arrived at Mount Erin Boarding in Year 11.

After school, Chirag aims to study Computer Science at university.

Chirag’s independence, vibrant personality and sense of humour have gradually emerged since he arrived at boarding.

 

 

 

Kye Lindley

He is from Tumut and began at Mt Erin Boarding in Year 11.

After school, Kye will be joining the army to do a carpentry trade in 2021.

Kye brings the “cool factor” to Mt Erin with his fashion, ute, sunglasses and persona.

Lachlan Murray 

He is from Wondalga, arrived at Mount Erin Boarding in Year 11.

After school, Lachlan will begin studying for a Bachelor of Engineering in Wollongong.

Lachlan is an academic high achiever with a dry, wry sense of humour.

 

 

 

Jack Roche

He is from Wondalga and arrived at Mount Erin Boarding in Year 11.

After school Jack is joining the Australian Air Force as an air surveillance operator.

Jack is a leader, good bloke and self proclaimed “nerd”.

 

 

 

Jasper Nguyen

The Boarding Captain is from Temora and arrived at Mount Erin Boarding in Year 11

After school, Jasper is heading to University in Wollongong to study biomedical engineering or criminology

Jasper takes a genuine interest in all boarders and a hard worker with his studies, who is always up for a good laugh.

Hugh Pratt

He is from Cootamundra and arrived at Mount Erin Boarding in Year 10.

After school, Hugh is seeking a mechanical apprenticeship.

Hugh is a talented musician and a caring individual, whose “crazy antics” regularly brings joy to those around him.

 

 

 

We wish all the Year 12 boys success in their upcoming HSC examinations and all our Senior Boys an enjoyable and relaxing holiday break.
