Our Local Primary Schools

South Oakleigh College places a huge importance on our relationship with the local Primary Schools. The interaction between our College and the Primary Schools has continued to strengthen over recent times and this is evident in the number of times our students attend Primary School events and the occasions that we have visitors to our College.

A group of our students assisted Clarinda Primary School recently with their House Athletics competition. An excellent day was had by all students who helped. In two weeks we will have a group of students support Oakleigh South Primary with their House Athletics. We also enjoy having primary school students visit our school to engage in various learning activities. Oakleigh South Primary is in the midst of a five week rotation where Grade 5 students rotate through a science class, food class, a visit to the TV studio, a session in our fitness centre and a go at our new, state-of-the-art Small-Lab. Students and teachers are reporting that they are thoroughly enjoying the sessions.

Later this term we will have Huntingdale Primary School visit us for a number of sessions in our Science Labs.
