Principal's Report

Reflection of students’ progress following exams

Year 7 - 11 examinations are complete and we now move forward to the next important phase to ensure a successful Semester 2. Students should analyse and evaluate their examination results to identify strengths and those areas requiring attention. Our teachers are committed and willing to devote whatever is needed, often extra hours of their own time, to enhance valuable learning opportunities. Students should seek whatever help and support is needed to maximise their learning outcomes.

Year 12 students are now on their final, downhill run. Families often bear the brunt of the stress of this busy period, but support is always available through Student Services and, of course, classroom teachers. Please take advantage of the services available.

Our grounds are looking spectacular! The creative team of Ms Elly Corkill, Mr John Roodenburg and Mr John Clayton enhance our beautiful school environment.  Also, a big thank you to cleaning staff who support the school in general maintenance.

Our core values: High Expectations, Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Teamwork

I encourage parents to verbalise these values at home in discussions with their children, ideally incorporating their everyday meaning into conversations.

As we reflect on these values my key message is to inspire each one of us to work diligently towards being the best we can be, every day. Working together as a learning community is inspirational for both ourselves and for others and maximises the outcomes we can all achieve.

I wish all students, parents and staff a safe and happy holiday and look forward to the continuation of our 2019 educational journey next semester.
