WELCOME NEW STAFF
Hello, my name is Cami Song and I am teaching Year 5 at Living Waters.
I enjoy interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, I would describe my personality as approachable, light-hearted, and positive. My hobbies include calligraphy handwriting and eating McDonalds hamburgers. I love spending time with children of every age, all my family and friends have children and I enjoy their creativity, honesty and sophisticated humour.
I graduated from Charles Darwin University, Masters of Teaching with a major in LOTE (Languages Other Than English) and my minor in Mathematics. During 2021, my experience included teaching Intermediate and Advanced language classes, my students were aged from 7 to 13 years old. As part of my Masters studies at CDU I completed teaching placements at MacKillop Catholic College and Darwin Middle School, teaching language and Mathematics.
I also have worked with younger students at Parap Primary School in Darwin. My specialty is using stories to teach Mathematics. I am loving working with the students at Living Waters, helping them learn and achieve their potential.
Hi, I'm Leah Santos Gouveis. I’ve lived in this beautiful town for 27 years and I really love it here. I worked in special education as a support worker for 15 years before completing my Bachelor of Education. I also have a Diploma of Counselling and have a particular interest in student well-being.
I have 5 children and this year they are all in school with my youngest in transition and oldest in year 12.
In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog, camping, cooking, drinking coffee and I especially love travelling to new and exciting places.
I look forward to seeing you around Living Waters!
Hi, my name is Steven Chen. I moved to Alice Springs from Darwin 2 months ago with my family. I have also lived in Ballarat and Melbourne. The reason I moved to Alice springs was to try to escape the high-humidity of Darwin.
This year I will be teaching Year 1 at Living Waters. I am looking forward to working with the children and their families throughout our journey in education.
