Principal's Report
DISTRICT SWIMMING:
Monday was a great morning for District Swimming - we were very proud of our 30 participants - they were out there having a go at the next level.
Congratulations to Charlie and Aisling who are going on to the Manningham Division Level.
As you can see I was very invested in cheerign on the girls in the Medley Relay - we did end up coming second but it was very close! Thanks for the pic Jimmy!
Kilometre Club: Our grade 6 leaders are doing a great job running Kilometre Club from 8.45-9am daily. All students are welcome to join and run/ walk around the oval counting their laps. Certificates are awarded in Assembly for milestones such as 5km, 10 km etc.
Our ACPS Fun Night:
How much fun was Tuesday night? We were thrilled with the number of families who attended and participated in our games - I think the grade 6s had as much fun with the parachute as the Preps did. The sack races and egg and spoon races were also a highlight. Thanks to all our staff for participating and all our families for joining in.
COMMUNITY SPORT: NETBALL
We were very excited for all our classes to participate in a Netball Clinic with Lauren and Alyssa from the Warrandyte Netball Club this week. Check their website for details on how to join the Club. Did you know that Net Set Go begins in Prep!
Grade 6 Leadership Assembly/Morning Tea
Wednesday March 1
Just a reminder that next Wednesday at 9:10am, we will be holding a whole-school assembly in the theatre, where our Grade 6 leaders will be presented with their leadership badges. Following this, Grade 6 parents & carers are welcome to join their child and their teachers for a special morning tea.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Information for Parents
CAMPS, SPORTS & EXCURSIONS FUND (CSEF)
Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities. It is part of making Victoria the Education State and the Government’s commitment to breaking the link between a student’s background and their outcomes.
School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are a part of a healthy curriculum.
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
The annual CSEF amount per student is:
- $125 for primary school students
- $225 for secondary school students
HOW TO APPLY
New applicants should contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or download from the website below.
If you applied for CSEF at your child's school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred:
- new student enrolments; your child has started or changed schools this year.
- changed family circumstances; such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year.
