Parks week

Next week is Parks Week, an initiative run by Wellington Council to promote the use of parks and spaces within the Wellington Shire Council.

As part of Parks Week, a group of Year 7, 8 and 9 student leaders are running a range of activities at the Maffra Skate Park on Tuesday 7th March for all Year 7 and 8 students from 11:30am to 2:30pm. The event is also open to the public and our students have been working hard on the organisation of this event.

Activities will include Zorb balls, house-based events, skating/pump track, face painting, tree planting and a free BBQ (thanks to the Year 11 VM class and Rotary). We also have GippSport, East Gippsland Youth Project and the Wellington Youth Council attending the event, and our concert band will be performing too.
