Policies

Tash, Holly and Ayla

We are extremely fortunate to have a First Aid Officer onsite each day at school. The voluntary contributions you make each year help us to ensure that this service continues to a high standard. To support our practices, we have a number of whole school policies that outline our procedures and processes.

Please see below for our recently reviewed Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management policies. We welcome community feedback – please email Kellie Sneyd should you have any thoughts.

Other useful policies that support our First Aid operations can be found on our school website LINK HERE

  • First Aid Policy

Key point: Please be aware that you will be notified of your child’s visit to First Aid via a Compass notification. All head injuries must be triaged through First Aid and parents contacted as a precaution.

  • Health Care Needs

This policy details the procedures in place at BBPS to support a student who may have complex medical needs or require specific medical care.

  • Administration of Medication Policy

Key point: If your child requires medication whilst at school, an adult must deliver the medication to the front office in its original container, with the original label including the name of the student (if a prescription medication) and accompanied by written advice on a Medication Administration authorisation form.
