It’s been a busy term in Music and it’s hard to believe how quickly the term is going!

This term, our Foundation students have been learning about different elements of music such as form, timbre and texture.

Level 1 and 2 students have been learning about indigenous music. Each class made their own acknowledgement of country song and they are currently working on composing seasonal stories using various instruments to replicate the changing sound of each season.

Level 3 and 4 students have been composing their own songs and writing them on the staff. They are now practicing them on the recorder ready to share with their families on Seesaw.

Level 5 and 6 students have been composing their own songs on Garage Band. They have considered different chord progressions, instrumentation, tempo, form and melody to create their songs and I have been absolutely blown away by the creativity of our talented students.

The band and choirs have rehearsing in preparation for book week and we can’t wait to perform for the school community.
