Digitech/Lego Club

Level 3 and 4 are continuing their stop-motion animation lessons and are beginning to appreciate how much effort it takes to produce a quality scene. If your children are having a go at home, ask them what the 5 rules are!

Level 5 and 6 are progressing with their Scratch coding and are beginning to create more complicated programs. This week, they will be working on if/else coding blocks that will be used to trigger alternate outcomes.

First LEGO League are now bursting into action with the new robot game and rules released. We should see the kit arrive any day now, but our teams are already looking at the missions and strategizing the best way to tackle them! Our project ideas are also coming along and we look forward to sharing them with you soon.

Unfortunately LEGO Club was not able to run last week due to Mr Evans being off at the EduTECH conference in Melbourne where he co-presented a well-attended session on the benefits of play based learning using the LEGO Learning System. It was rather well received, impressing the representatives from LEGO and even our own Mrs Barr! What a great opportunity to be able to represent LEGO, MTA and Rangeview at such a big event!
