Changes to Medicine at the University of Tasmania (UTAS)

Starting with 2023 entry, the medical course offered by the university will be a "Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine". These new programs replace the "Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery" that was offered previously (last intake was 2022). The new course has the same 5-year duration as the old course but provides an AQF Level 9 qualification instead of an AQF Level 7 qualification.
