Sustainabilty & Gardening News

Hi everyone!

Exciting news!

Trinity is looking at going solar! Last week we met with a second company to quote us and it is looking very likely that we will be able to launch this project in the upcoming months. This is a fantastic step towards improving our sustainability credentials, as well as making good economic sense, for the savings we will gain. The next steps include site surveillance to check the structure of the building, and reviewing the formal quotes. We will keep you updated as more information comes to light.

Gardening Fun

We recently  harvested 28 leaves of silverbeet, 22 leaves of bok choy and 12 leaves of lettuce, plus chives, parsley and calendula flowers.

We would love to see any photos of our produce taken home being included in your dinner!  If you take a photo, please send to bnechwatal@tcs.catholic.edu.au.

Things we need!

Wooden spoons - to make decorative plant labels for our vegetable gardens.

We still need more paper bags to take our veggies home in. Please leave at the office, labelled “Miss Belinda”.

Thank you!

3/4BO’C won Nude Food this week, with 13 rubbish free lunches, followed by 1/2 UR with 12, Prep RT with 10 and 5/6 MG with 5 rubbish free lunches! Well done!

Some yummy ideas - a sandwich/wrap/roll, pasta with vegetables, soup, frittata or sushi, a fruit or vegetable snack, such as whole fruit, cut up veggie sticks, fruit or savoury kebab or a small salad.

There is a great booklet of ideas here
