Colour Explosion Carnival Whole School Assembly

Ms Antoniou - Year 10 Level Leader

After years of consideration and thought about a carnival, thanks to ideas and preparations from the school community we were able to finally have one this year. The process began with Ms Miller who brought it to the students’ leaders who shared her vision. The works began immediately and bookings for events were made.

The day started with students getting their first glimpse of the newly established stadium when a whole school assembly took place. During the assembly, we had speeches from our College Principal Mr Caughey and some of our school leaders as well as musical performances by Ms Garcia and Macaslyn (Macca) Tuitama. We also had the luxury of viewing the new mega screen where we got to see a video with some photo achievements from our first semester.

It was then time for the fun to begin where students were able to navigate their way through our festival. Festival activities included face painting, bungee trampolines, just dance, virtual reality, inflatables, pizza making, animal petting zoo, bull riding, sumo wrestling and bubble soccer. While all of the activities were a great success, some of the highlights from students included pizza making, bungee trampoline and the petting zoo.

But by far the most enjoyable part of the day was the main event where students were able to participate in a school colour run.
