Year 9 Events

Smashed Alcohol Education Session

All Year 9 students participated in the Smashed Alcohol Education Session in the College theatre.

The aim of the program was for students to observe, explore and reflect on vital under-age drinking themes including:

• The social and emotional causes
• The impact on young lives
• Social influence and decision making
• Where and how to help yourself and others

The year 9 students were actively engaged throughout the session answering quiz questions about the physical, emotional and social harms of alcohol and providing scenario-based solutions to peer pressure when in the company of alcohol with peers.
