SRC news

After last week's SRC meeting it was requested that we bring back a bit of competition and fun to help improve the state of our yard.

We are having a competition to increase the awareness of how much rubbish we can reduce at school. Sadly, we have had an increase in the rubbish in the yard and feel it’s time to revisit the impact we are having on the environment.

Every day is now...

RUBBISH FREE LUNCHES DAY

Simply remember to use reusable containers in your child’s lunch box and try not to send to school ANY wrappers or packaging.

The teachers (or class reps) will be checking lunch boxes before lunch and awarding points to the children who have NO wrappers in their lunchbox.  These specially awarded points will be tallied by the class SRC’s and the winner will be announced at Friday assemblies.

What prize you ask???

The winning class will receive the honor of having the ‘House Spirit’ Trophy in their classroom AND win an extra “free-play” time for one hour (or duration of a movie).  Their class may negotiate with their teacher either free outside play, or free-movie time or free games (school approved games only).

Please help us to reduce the amount of rubbish that comes to school and help keep our yard tidier.

Don’t forget, wrappers at home can be recycled at Woolworths and Coles as part of their REDCYCLE program.
