Pupil Free Day 16th September

As part of the Victorian Government Schools Agreement (VGSA), Professional Practice Days (PPDs) provide teaching staff with a full day for learning, assessment, planning and preparation purposes with three such days in 2022, free from face to face instruction. For Term Three, the Department of Education and Training (DET) has recommended schools hold a further Professional Practice Day on the same day for all staff in acknowledgment of the staffing shortages and previous success of this structure in Term Two. In consultation with our School Council, we wanted to share the Term Three date with the school community. 

Effectively this will bring the end of term forwards one day; our school council felt that this would give the least disruption to families, allowing those who will be going away to escape some of the holiday traffic. 

What: Student-Free Day (Professional Practice Day for Staff)

When: Friday 16th September

On Friday 16th September, a combined Professional Practice Day for all staff will be held, this is a student-free day. In alignment with our Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) our staff will be onsite working collaboratively to further strengthen our professional knowledge and practice.
