Tertiary Information Service (TIS)
Yesterday our Year 12 students attended the annual TIS event along with Year 12 students from neighbouring secondary colleges. The information provided by TIS focuses on VTAC and transitioning to further education after finishing school. This is an opportunity for students to speak with both Universities and other further education representatives. They attended a short session that explained how VTAC works, then spent about 45 minutes speaking with stall holders. For the first time, this was held at St Mary MacKillop College so our Year 11 students also had a chance to speak with these providers as well.

University Open Days
Year 12 students who are considering studying at TAFE or University are encouraged to attend Open Days. At the Open Days both students and parents will learn more about courses and careers options, take tours of the campus including accommodation options and find out more about scholarships, pathways and overseas study programs. We encourage students check University websites and register their attendance and any events of interest. Some Universities offer travel grants to assist with the transport costs so be sure to check when registering. Open Days are also a fantastic opportunity for Year 11 students.
