YEAR 11 CAMP

MS SAIGE OTTREY - STUDENT EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR

On Tuesday, 21st June 2022 the Year 11s set off to Melbourne for their camp. Staying right in the heart of the City at CYC City the Year 11 students got to experience Melbourne in all its glory. They began with tours of the Shrine of Remembrance, The Mary Mackillop Heritage Centre and a City Scramble to get a feel of the public transport system. On their first night they enjoy some Ten Pin Bowling and Arcade Games at Crown Casino. 

 

On Wednesday, 22nd June they visited to the Jewish Holocaust Centre followed by a tour of the RMIT City Campus followed by some free time to explore the City and finished the day at Hamilton at Her Majesty's Theatre. 

 

On Thursday, 23rd June students split into two groups with some heading off to Bounce in Glen Iris and the other students to the Melbourne Zoo. After lunch the students got to experience The Lume Melbourne with the feedback being that this is a ‘must see attraction’, they spent some free time at South Wharf DFO and finished the day by heading to the MCG to watch Brisbane VS Melbourne.

 

On Friday, 24th June the students and staff enjoyed some free time in the morning before the journey home. Thank you to the staff who attended this camp Ms Crow, Ms Haley, Mr Anderson, Mr Hogan, Ms Miliano and Kathie Box.
