Year 5/6 Report

During this term the Year 5/6 students have been learning about significant events and developments that shaped Australia during the 1900s, including the gold rush and immigration. We had a wonderful time on our excursion last week, visiting the Melbourne Immigration Museum where students could learn about the different cultures that migrated to Australia. The 5/6s have been working very hard on their Biography Projects, telling the story of a significant person who has migrated to Australia. Students have also been extending their digital technology skills, creating autobiographies on Google Sites. They will be presenting their projects to their class and it will be on display during our Year 5/6 APS Immigration Museum afternoons. We look forward to you visiting our rooms to view their work.
