Performing Arts

Over the past two weeks Wantirna College has hosted the 2018 Performing Arts Showcase.

We have seen some exceptional performances from Instrumental Music, Dance, Drama, Theatre Studies, Choral and Contemporary Voice.

This year over 2000 guests have attended the Showcase performances.

My warmest congratulations to the many students involved, including Instrumental Music, Dance, Drama, Theatre Studies & Voice students.

Also, behind every great performer there are some sensational mentors and teachers – my sincere thanks to our incredible team - Danny van Bergen, Lachlan Barratt, Kim Green, Andrew Jacobs, Nathaniel Poynter, Michelle Lam, Belinda Parsons, Sue Dowdell, Stephen Langley, Michelle Dang, Jack Bennett & Madi Weybury in the Instrumental Music Program.

A big thank you also to Beryl Birrell in the Drama and Theatre Studies area, Ash Benjamin in the Dance and Drama area and Danny van Bergen for overseeing VCE Classroom Music.

In addition to this, we are always grateful for the support of Andrew Lewis, Jason & Evan Henderson and the Tech Crew for the wonderful lighting and sound for each of the shows.
