Senior School celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday
Alerted by Mrs Hartwich, we decided that this should be a day to do something special. She generously lent us her beautiful quilt and Potter paraphernalia, and her collection of books in foreign languages. We set up a display, we offered selfies and lollypops. We wrote on a card and we had some fun. Mrs Hartwich joined us at lunchtime and drew the winners of the competition which she had set up for us. She had also collected some McDonald’s vouchers to award the winners. You can see more on our Blog (click here).
Junior School:
New books are coming into the space at a rapid rate. As soon as Mr Nelson introduces them to classes they are being borrowed and enjoyed. The conversations I have had with many students in the last couple of weeks have been uplifting.
It is no wonder that so many are logging large numbers on the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge site. Keep the reading going – it is so good for developing minds of all ages!
I have also received a thank you email and an invitation to look at a class project by Year 5 students, both of whom are new to the school this year. What a privilege!
Best wishes to all for a great Sheepvention weekend – I might see some of you there.
