In Ms O'Neill’s Food Technology class, we are currently learning about different types of techniques that we can use when cooking.

In our double period on Thursday we were taught how to bake  Chocolate  Chip cookies. Ms O'Neill first demonstrated to us how we can set up our workstation properly and then we were taught how to bake the cookies.

We  then split up into partners. I was partners with Ben. We first started off by getting out all the bowls and trays we needed. After our workstations were checked we got the green light to start baking. Ben started by putting the butter into the bowl. I weighed the correct amount of chocolate chip cookies we needed. After Ben broke the butter, we used the stirring machine, which stirred the butter very well. We then sifted in some flour and later some egg. After stirring for a while we had to grab the mixture in our hands and roll into balls to put on the trays.

Throughout the lesson, Mr Janes, Mr McMahon and Mr Riley all slipped in sneakily to steal a few cookies. After the cookies were baked we put them into containers ready to eat. Yum!
