Hello, from Carolyn.

Hello everyone,

Enrolment time!

I'm looking forward to hosting prospective Foundation families Monday morning and showing off our wonderful school. If you know someone who is considering enrolling their child here, encourage them to contact us to make a time to visit. Our school follows the Department of Education's placement policy which means that families in our school zone (https://www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au/ ) are guaranteed a place here. Students who have a sibling currently enrolled at our school are also guaranteed a place. Students who are new enrolments and are out of our zone will be placed on our waiting list and, if there is space, offered a place based on order of closeness of their home to our school.

Family BBQ.

I am looking forward to our Family BBQ next Thursday. RSVP notes are due back on Monday and it looks like lots of you are able to come along! The last few years have been strange (understatement!) with lots of rule changes and uncertainty about what we can do, should do and can't do. It's so exciting knowing that we can welcome parents, carers and volunteers in to our school. We value your involvement and the positive home school partnerships we develop with you all- it's all about supporting your child/ren to be their best and achieve their best.

It's also exciting to have such a keen group of parents working hard to support an active Parents & Friends group again. They are doing lots of work in the background to organise our BBQ, and to tick all the boxes so our Parent & Friends group meets the departments requirements. Check the Parents & Friends page regularly in our newsletter to keep up with what they are working on, need help with or helpful information they are sharing.

COVID.

COVID19 is still in our community and some of you may have people in your home who are currently recovering from their latest bout of covid. There may not be any requirements anymore to stay home when unwell but the best place to be when you or your children are unwell is home resting and recovering. Please keep your child/ren home if they are sick, if they display Covid symptoms then test and we appreciate it when you let us know if they test positive. As always, if your child is absent, get in touch to let us know the reason for their absence. You can log an absence using the Sentral app or by calling us and leaving a message on the school's absence line.

At school, we will continue to encourage our students to sanitise/wash their hands regularly, have the air purifiers on and open doors and windows to have fresh air circulating in our learning spaces.

Fear-Less parent seminar.

Don't forget to register for our free parent workshop on Monday!

For more information see the 'In our Community' page in our newsletter.
