Principal's Report

“Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge”.

– Simon Sinek

It has been another smooth start to a term! This term is full of challenges and opportunities for our students and will provide many learning opportunities for all.

Leadership ceremony 2023

This morning we welcomed some of our student leader’s families to school to take part in our leadership assembly. Our young leaders were delighted and proud to be given their graduate hoodies and their leadership badges. Lots of smiles all round! It is going to be a busy year for them all as they begin the transition of their next steps after school. We are very proud of them.

Education Week

Education Week will be celebrated in Victoria from Sunday 14th May to Saturday 20 May. It’s an annual celebrates the importance of education and the theme this year is ‘Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate’. Our teachers and children will be busy with activities using this theme that week so look out for the photographs in the next newsletter.

Bunnings Sausage sizzle

It’s time for our annual fundraiser – Bunnings Sausage Sizzle this Sunday! Thank you to the parents and staff who have supported this event. We hope to see as many of you as possible down there for a sausage and supporting your school. It is a wonderful fundraiser for us and the money raised will go towards our new library resources.

Capital Works

As we are getting closer to the completion of phase one of our Capital Works Project there is a hive of activity. This week sees the delivery of furniture and appliances which is very exciting. The outside playground areas have been held up slightly due to the weather which has a direct impact on handover. I will have more information in the next newsletter regarding the handover for phase 1 which includes the car park. Thank you again for your patience. We are nearly there!

As always please reach out with any questions or concerns

Be kind to one another,

Lindy
