Term 2 - Week 1

An enormous welcome to Term 2 2023, a term which promises great learning and excitement at St Nicholas.

It has been both comforting and inspiring to witness our school community begin the term with a positive attitude and a commitment to realising our hope filled future.

My pride in St Nicholas' start to Term 2 can be reflected in the way our school commemorated ANZAC Day. ANZAC Day is a day of enormous significance for Australians. It is a day of enormous importance, where we are provided with the opportunity to stop and thank those who have given their lives to the freedom and lifestyle which we enjoy. 

For those who managed to witness our children marching on Wednesday morning, I trust you were filled with the same pride I experienced. Our children’s engagement, respect and reverence reflected ANZAC Day. Our students were not ‘celebrating’ ANZAC Day as they marched, rather ‘commemorating’ this momentous day in our Calendar.
