This term we have started reading groups. We are in small groups working with Miss Mac to practise our reading. We have been focusing on pointing under the words as we read and sounding out words we don’t know rather than guessing.  While the group is working on the floor with the books the rest of the students are doing independent work, this has included going onto the Decodable Readers Australia (DRA) website and looking at books and songs, doing a craft for our nursery rhyme of the week and other literacy activities. 

Maths

This term we have begun learning about shapes, we have started with 2D shapes and will move to 3D shapes by the end of the week. We have been learning the names of each shape, where we may see these in our everyday lives and made the shapes from playdoh and pictures using different 2D shapes.
