Year 12 Retreat

On Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th April, our Year 12 students went off to 4 different venues to experience their retreat. I went to Don Bosco Retreat Centre at Safety Beach with my homeroom (12 Cagney) and two other homerooms (12 James and 12 Lombard). This was a fantastic experience engaging with these final year students exploring their journey into becoming influential men in the world beyond high school. A huge thank you to all the staff in the College's Religious Education Centre, the staff who accompanied the students including homeroom teachers and the youth ministers along with Mr Grosso (Coordinator of Staff & Student Formation) who put so much effort into a hugely successful retreat.

Mission Action Day

The past few weeks have seen lots of preparation for our MAD (Mission Action Day) which will be held on the final day of term, Thursday 6th April. It is a time when we actively take part in the Catholic message of reaching out to those on the margins of society by working with the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Our assistance is not just about giving to a needy and worthwhile cause but it's about the staff, students and our families partaking in our core beliefs in the message of Jesus Christ to go out and serve. The Oblate Order is a rich and valuable Catholic presence in our community, enriching our everyday lives.

Please do not hesitate to donate to this great cause and a huge thanks to all the Year 12’s and all the staff and students involved.

There's more to come.

It is great to see further development of our school campus taking place. Our College Leadership is working hard planning for our school into the future and there certainly are great things to come at Mazenod.

I hope you and your families have a very happy Easter and feel the great joy of the season.
