Women in Engineering Tour - UQ
Some of our aspiring engineers at Clayfield College had the chance to attend UQ's Women in Engineering Tour on 4 April. During the tour, they explored the Engineering buildings and tertiary facilities, and had the opportunity to interact with experts in chemical, mechatronic, and environmental engineering. Additionally, they gained insights into university life and courses from engineering students. The tour was an engaging experience for our students, and they learned about various career paths that they can pursue after completing high school.

Learning Strategies for the Real World
This week in Wellbeing and Foundations, our Year 12 students learnt how to change a flat tyre. Students enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a ‘hands-on’ way.
At the same time, Year 10 students attended a seminar on body image from Psychologist Melissa Desmarchelier. Mrs Desmarchelier runs a private practice specialising in the treatment of adolescent mental health, specifically for women and non-binary individuals.
