Year 10 Food Technology
Year 10 students of Food Technology have been designing, producing and evaluating healthy food products.
Their challenge was to create a lunch or dinner meal that aligns with the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. This meant that they needed to include ingredients from each food group, as well as a range of vegetables of different types and colour.
The result was a rainbow of vegetables in our kitchen classrooms and some very eye-catching and delicious food products. You can see some of the many impressive results pictured.
Mackenzie and Kathy hand-made their own fresh pasta in a very ambitious display of their skill in the kitchen!

Year 10 Food Technology – Healthy Dish Design Task
Year 10 Food Technology students completed a design task this term. They needed to plan and produce a dish aligning with the design brief specifications. The dish needed to contain a wide variety of nutritious ingredients that align with the recommendations of the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating.
Students had great success, producing a variety of dishes such as fish tacos; sesame-crusted tuna with ratatouille and vegetable puree; lamb kalamaki with pita bread and salad; and buchimgae with mash potatoes.
