Interview with Year 11 VET Student, Cindy Ha

Cindy Ha is doing the second year of a certificate three C+VET subject in Laboratory Skills at Mill Park Secondary College one afternoon a week.

1. What do you do in Laboratory Skills?

We look at chemicals. We see how they react when they are combined together in a solution.

2. How often are you in the laboratory?

We do a ‘prac’. Most recently we looked at colour intensity.

3. How will this VET subject help you on your future pathway?

I want to do aero-space engineering at R.M.I.T.. I learn practical skills and because it is a certificate three it will also help me next year in Year 12 get a part-time job in a laboratory attached to Peter MacCallum Cancer centre.
