Hello everyone

A big thank you to everyone who attended our General Meeting on the 20th April, the Minutes are attached for your perusal. There was a great turnout but a reminder to all parents and caregivers that you are more than welcome to attend our regular meetings, not just our parent engagement evenings.

We are currently organising, in conjunction with the College, two parent sessions to attend in May (18th May) - an QCE/ATAR Information Session and a Guidance Counsellor workshop. Parents will be given the opportunity to attend either one on the night and then in July will be able to attend the other session if interested.  Once details have been finalised an invitation via EdSmart will be emailed out, please respond as attendance numbers are required.  College staff will also organise catering funded by Family Connect.

These are great sessions and are recommended to all parents, both new and to those with older students.

Please find attached the Principal’s April Report to Family Connect; a number of interesting points were raised including a challenge to increase our focus on being “people of welcome” .

To this end Family Connect members will be in attendance at the College Open Night on Thursday 13th May from 4pm. Please feel free to come up and have a chat, we would love to hear your thoughts on what we can do to support your son or daughters’ journey.
