Year 6 taster lessons

On Tuesday and Wednesday of Week 6, future Cecil Hills High School students were given their very own ‘Taste of Cecil’. On Tuesday it was Cecil Hills Public School and Kemps Creek Public School who came up to visit. The students completed three different lessons on the day out of a selection of Art, Music, History and Science. The Year 6 students had lots of fun learning different drawing techniques, playing ‘The Cup Song’, mummifying a stuffed animal and completing a science experiment.

On Wednesday afternoon a group of dedicated teachers went over to visit Bonnyrigg Heights Public School to deliver lessons in History, Italian, Music and Science. The students had lots of fun dressing up as knights or soldiers, playing games with Italian words, getting into the rhythm with body percussion and seeing some chemical reactions.

The Year 6 students of all three schools left extremely excited to join the Cecil Hills High School family in 2022! Thank you to the following teachers for giving up their time to run the lessons: Mr Hong, Mrs Kamil, Mr Stevens, Mr Joannides, Ms Cakir, Mrs Koloveros,  Ms Li Donni, Ms Tiary, Ms Li Donni, Ms Baonza and Mrs Gletos.
