Year 11 Biology students commenced their Depth Study at the Penrith Lakes Environmental Education Centre. Students collected data on wildlife, investigated the health of the environment and identified endangered species.
The students enjoyed doing fieldwork and will now use their findings to complete their Assessment Task.
Photos below show students from Mr Chandler’s Year 11 Biology class doing transects (plant distribution investigation) and quadrats (organism abundance investigation) in preparation for their Preliminary HSC Depth Study field trip to Penrith Lakes.
