Sacrament of Reconciliation
Congratulations to Poppy Keenan who made her First Reconciliation two weeks ago. May God bless you always.
Thank you to the wonderful parents who attended the Confirmation night. Your presence and support was truly appreciated.
Below is a Confirmation Prayer to say with your child as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Spirit of God, grant me:
The gift of wisdom
To see the world through your eyes,
The gift of counsel
To make difficult decisions,
The gifts of knowledge and understanding
To use my mind to know you and to love you,
The gift of fortitude
To have the courage to live in the faith
Despite the difficulties and disappointments,
The gift of piety
To be able to express my special love
And commitment to you,
And the right kind of awesome fear
That makes me pause to wonder and revere
God’s Love
Amen.
Please keep these Year 6 & 7 students in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next Thursday 13th May. Let us pray for Presley, Alexandria, Mila, Ben, Aidan, Gianni, Madeline, Bianca, Ava, Miles, Max, Patrick, Dante and Luke.
A Mother's Day Prayer
I said a Mother's Day prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
for blessing me with a lifetime
of your tenderhearted love.
I thanked God for the caring
you've shown me through the years,
for the closeness we've enjoyed
in time of laughter and of tears.
And so, I thank you from the heart
for all you've done for me
and I bless the Lord for giving me
the best mother there could be!
Confirmation Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 13th May at 5pm and 7pm.
Please be at the church 30 minutes before mass for the candidates to receive their stoles and to show their sponsor their seat.
Father Gerry has asked that I remind you of the parish website which has fabulous articles, children’s activities. Also each week in the Family Page and Fun Worksheetssection of the website there are links to that weekend's Gospel activities. There are two gospel links: one for the juniors and one for the seniors. These activities can be downloaded and printed or just viewed. These worksheets will help the children understand the gospel message for that particular reading.

Please take a look at the Parish Newsletter too. There is lots of great information and inspiration in this document each week.
