Who says Maths can’t be fun?

Recently, the Year 9 Maths classes had to figure out how to get a container, made solely out of an A4 piece of paper, to hold one litre of water! The students worked in groups and were charged with calculating how large a square to cut from each corner and assemble their containers by folding and taping the sides together. The students were then able to test their calculations by pouring 1 litre of water into their creation. The students couldn’t believe their eyes when a seemingly small container could hold such a large quantity of water.
