Immigration Museum

On Friday the 26th of March, Senior VCAL went on a tour of Melbourne to see places where the homeless have slept and to hear their stories. Afterwards, the students visited the Immigration Museum to see the exhibition of 'Identity, Yours, Mine, Ours'.

"We learned about the experiences of being homeless and the ways that the Salvation Army was able to help through their cafe, showers and counselling services." Lea

"It was a great experience to understand a side of the city that isn't spoken about." Tereza

"I enjoyed hearing the real life stories of the people through the Salvation Army." Raphael

"It was informative, engaging and fun to visit the Identity Exhibition at the Immigration Museum. We particularly enjoyed creating our own messages that were displayed on big the screen." Junjila and Kartika

Intermediate VCAL also participated in the Salvation Army Homelessness tour. They visited the First Peoples exhibit at Melbourne Museum.  I have attached the photos for you.
