Careers and Senior Pathways
Last week, Killester College hosted Monash University to launch the 2021 Access Monash Program. In total, there are 93 Killester students participating. Within the Access Monash Program each Killester student is matched with a mentor who is able to provide guidance and support regarding:
- Academic and personal goals
- Questions about university
- Courses, entry schemes and scholarships
- The VTAC and SEAS application process, and what happens at each stage
- Other opportunities related to career interests
We wish the Killester students well for the duration of this program and hope they learn more about the transition from Secondary school into Tertiary Education.
Many Year 10's and Year 11's have reached out to ask questions regarding their subject selections for 2022 which will happen early in Term 3. I highly recommend during the school break students take the time to visit the following links as they provide further detail on;
- How VCAL/VCE works
- How the ATAR is calculated
- Entry requirements for Tertiary courses including required prerequisite subjects you may need to study in Years 11 and 12
- Tips on how to chose your Year 11 & 12 pathway
