Dear families of Killester,

Easter: The Resurrection

On entering the tomb, they (Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome) saw a young man sitting at the right, dressed in a white robe. This frightened them thoroughly, but he reassured them: “You need not be amazed! You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, the one who was crucified. He has been raised up; he’s not here. See the place where they laid him. Go now and tell his disciples and Peter: ‘He is going ahead of you to Galilee, where you will see him just as he told you.’”                       Mark 16, 1-8

Easter is the most blessed time in our liturgical calendar, students and staff today celebrated this most special of seasons with a beautiful liturgy presented by our drama, music and justice and democracy students. Their contemporary and moving presentation of the message of Easter encouraged all of us to reflect on the ways in which we are all called to open ourselves to God's love and to embrace a future full of hope created for us by the resurrection. Particular thanks to all those involved in this most wonderful celebration.

I thank all parents who joined us online for our Learning Conversations this week, we will survey staff and families early next term as to the efficiency of conducting these interviews online.

The students and staff of Killester have worked hard through all of Term One, I pray that the Easter season is a time for all families to celebrate, rejuvenate and give thanks for the many blessings present in our lives. I wish all a peaceful and joyful Easter.
