Around Foundation (Prep)

This week in Maths, the Preps have continued their work with counting collections of objects, identifying and creating 2D shapes and applying what they have learnt about measurement.

The children have had the opportunity to practise counting, using hands on resources such as counters, teddies and dinosaurs. We have discussed strategies we can use so that we remember where we started counting from. The Preps have also had fun creating their own shape monsters using the 2D shapes that we have focused on and measuring how far they can jump using icy pole sticks.
