Dogs in the school ground

If you bring your dog to school it must be kept on a lead and under adult supervision at all times. I request all families’ support this as the safety of all students is paramount.

Bikes in the school ground

To avoid any potential incidents and for the safety of our school community, I ask parents and students riding to school to walk their bikes through the school ground.

Student Safety Travelling To and From School

I’d like to ask you to talk with your children about travelling to and from school in a safe manner. Children riding bikes should wear a suitably fitted helmet and observe the road rules at all times. Children walking to and from school should walk on paths and cross at either a pedestrian crossing or traffic lights. Children must not leave the school grounds once they have been dropped off. Before school yard supervision is from 8.45am to 9.00am and afterschool from 3.30pm-3.45pm. Students at school prior to 8.45am will need to be/play outside the office area and those left in the yard after 3.45pm will be asked to wait at/in front of the office area.

Late Arrivals/Early Departures

It’s not great to be late! Students’ learning commences at 9.00am. It is important for student wellbeing and engagement that all children arrive at school on time. If students arrive after 9.15am they will require a late pass and you are required to escort the child to the office and sign them in via the Late Arrival Register.

We understand that students may need to leave school early due to appointments and other commitments. Should your child need to leave school before 3.30pm each day, you will need to sign your child out in the Early Dismissal Register, collect and fill in an orange form and then hand it to the teacher.

Students who arrive to school prior to 8.45am are to go/play on the courts out the front of the office area until 8.45am when a teacher will be on duty.

Parking at ACPS

Please use the available car parking spaces at ACPS and surrounding streets and refrain from parking at the boom gate entrance of the school. The driveway must be clear at all times to allow access for deliveries and allow parked cars to freely leave their parking space. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

It's hard to believe there are only three weeks left of Term 1. It's been a busy yet productive term. It's been wonderful visiting classrooms and observing the routines and structures that have, and continue to be put in place.

Have a happy and safe weekend
