Pastoral Care Worker News

With New Year resolutions and Lent so fresh in our minds, these are times where we give up luxuries for a greater good. A greater good that shows love to yourself. In a world where stress/anxiety and burnout are so common a thing, I would love to encourage you, to find time in each day to love yourself by rejuvenating/revitalising and replenishing your physical and emotional health.
To look at your day and revamp and make sure you find the time to remove unhealthy distractions and schedule in:
- Time to make and enjoy healthy food
- Time to drink at least 2 litres of water throughout the day
- Time to do 10-30 minutes exercise daily
- Time to have a conversation with someone
- Time to explore, create, play, pray and 7-9 hours solid sleep
- Time to speak positively into your own life
- Time to ask for help. Rest and self care are so important.
When you take time to replenish yourself, it allows you to not only be the best example for your child, and to give out of your best, but it will help facilitate extending peace and kindness to one's family.
Come and have a free cuppa on Friday afternoons in the Conference Room (behind the Canteen) from 2.30pm until 3:00pm. Get to know other parents and myself in a relaxed friendly environment.
