SCHOOL FEES

School fee accounts were sent out via the grey trays Tuesday 23rd Feb.    Separated family statements have been sent out in the mail.  Fees are to be paid in full by the end of term 1 if not on a payment plan or indicated otherwise on the fee intention form.

There are still a few outstanding accounts to be paid from 2020.  If your family is not on a payment plan, unpaid 2020 school fees would be appreciated as soon as possible please.

St Laurence’s Primary School is committed to providing a Catholic education through balancing the need for responsible financial management within the school while maintaining sensitivity to the financial capacity of parents.

School fees are not meant to be a burden on your family budget.   If your family is experiencing difficulties in meeting your school fee commitment, we wish to hear from you.  Please contact Liz O'Loughlin on principal@stlleongatha.catholic.edu.au as soon as possible as there are concessions available to those who need it.

MEDICAL PROFILES IN PAM

IMPORTANT:  Please ensure that all medical information is correct in PAM at all times. This is the information that teachers will use an emergency situation at school or if students are offsite.

If your child has a asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes or an allergy management plan/s you must upload a new plan at the beginning of year, or, when doctor has indicated a date of review on the plan.  Please note that plans must be signed off by your doctor.

The school also requires a hard copy of all plans for our records.  Anaphylaxis, diabetes and allergy management plans are required to be visible to staff  in the office, sick bay and in your child's classroom.  It is imperative we have up to date information so we can best treat your child in an emergency.

HEALTHCARE CARD HOLDERS

DO YOU HOLD A Centrelink HEALTH CARE CARD/PENSION CARD?   IF SO YOU SHOULD BE ELIGIBLE TO CLAIM THE CSEF (Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund) and therefore be eligible for a considerable subsidy off your school fees.   We encourage anyone who holds a card to let the school know and we can talk you through it.

If you already hold a current HCC/pension card and have not claimed before, please contact the school or fill out the application form that is attached below and send back to school with a copy of your card as soon as possible.  Having a HCC/Pension Card  gives you access to a considerable subsidy off your school fees.

An application form can be downloaded below.  Please contact the office if you have any questions or request a hard copy of the application form.

PRAYER

Week 2 of Lent

Dear God,

In this season of Lent, we’re reminded of our own difficulties and struggles. Sometimes the way has seemed too dark. Sometimes we feel like our lives have been marked by such grief and pain, we don’t see how our circumstance can ever change. But in the midst of our weakness, we ask that you would be strong on our behalf.

Lord, rise up within us, let your Spirit shine out of every broken place we’ve walked through. Allow your power to be manifest through our own weakness, so that others will recognize it is You who is at work on our behalf.

We ask that you would trade the ashes of our lives for the beauty of your Presence. Trade our mourning and grief for the oil of joy and gladness from your Spirit. Trade our despair for hope and praise.

We choose to give you thanks today and believe that this season of darkness will fade away. Thank you that you are with us in whatever we face and that you are greater than this trial. We are confident that you have good still in store for our future. We thank you that you are at work right now, trading our ashes for greater beauty.

We praise you, for you make all things new. In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.
