Camp

Thank you to all our families that came to the meeting. It will be a new opportunity for our grade 4’s to be part of camp and I am sure that it will be an excellent learning experience for them. Please complete the permission form on Operoo by pressing ‘accept’ and make sure your child’s medical details are up to date.Over the next few days contact will be made with the families that have not completed this process.

Planning for the Grade 3 camp is under way and parents will be contacted very soon about that.

Easter Raffle

The Easter raffle tickets are selling well and the ticket butts and money is coming in. The prizes are on display in the school office. Please make sure that the ticket butts come in with the money as the butts all get taken apart so we can draw out the three winners.

If you return the money without the ticket butts you are not in the prize draw so please make sure everything comes back into the school office.

If you would like more tickets they are available at the school office. Tickets will be on sale at our sports on Wednesday.

Twilight Sports Carnival

Tomorrow afternoon is our Twilight Sports Carnival. We have been waiting quite a while to have a school event with parents attending. Even though the event is not at our school it is an occasion for staff, parents and children to come together.

This is the first time that we have had our sports at St. Johns College and we thank them for their support. Some of the field events have only just been installed by the school, so we will be the first school to use them.

The sports start at 2pm tomorrow and will run till around 6pm. If you would like to join us at 2pm you are welcome to do so. Please note there is no parking at St. Johns College before 4pm due to traffic congestion around the school at the end of their day when their students are leaving the school. Please park on the other side of Clow Street in the softball carpark.

Hub Leader and School Chaplain

This week we advertised for a person to take on the role of Hub Leader and School Chaplain. Both these positions are part time one and are funded from outside the school. The Hub Leader's role will be to get the school hub started and support of community with services that they may require. The School Chaplain's role is to help children and families who are experiencing difficulties. As these roles are community based we are trying to find one person to do both roles. The application will be open for the rest of March and then that will be followed by shortlisting and interviewing candidates.

Regards,
