Congratulations to Ben on receiving the Public Speaking Award at the Lions Youth of the Year Zone Final, while Ben did not win the overall competition we are extremely proud of his efforts and his outstanding speech, which had 2 of our staff members reaching for the tissues. Well Done!

Here is what a few of the kids had to say...

formed a friendship with an old friend from kinder and we remembered each other.

I got to interact with some people I didn't know in my cabin. I definitely think it is important to make new friends. It makes you feel like you're not alone and that someone will always be there for you.

I have formed a new friendship with someone and it made me feel great. I hope this can carry on because I think it is really nice to have some more friends.

I loved the camp because I had lots of fun. I have never done some of the activities of camp.

I enjoyed the river sledding and crate climbing as it was fun to try something new that I had never done before. It was also fun spending time with your friends and the other people in your cabin as well as getting to know new people and learning more about your peers and classmates.

My favorite part of camp of was the flying fox, because of the speed and the view.

The camp food was good, it was made well.

Someone was snoring at night , so sleeping was the biggest challenge at camp.

I learnt more about my friends.

I enjoyed the rock climbing wall.

I learnt more about my friends & got closer with them. I enjoyed the activities & how not all of them were super easy.

My favorite activity was the waterslide.

Some challenges faced include trying to sleep, beating teachers in games and overcoming a fear of heights in many activities. My personal favourite activity would be the flying fox. Although it was up high, it was a great experience and a lot of fun.

I loved the range of activities and the staff were really nice.

I strengthened my friendships with some new people and I learnt a lot about everyone who was in my cabin. I was super excited because i had all my friends with me. my favourite activity was low ropes because it was fun.

I liked the food because it was good.

Flying fox was the best activity because it was so fun coming down.

Camp was really fun because I was in a cabin with all of my friends and I got closer with them and made a lot of new friends from camp. My favourite activity was the low ropes course because it was really fun and used a lot of strength. I also liked how it was a race.

I did the flying fox, it was scary at first but it was very fun, probably the best activity on camp. People in my rooms were also very messy.
